Gait Analysis Lab
Introduction:
During this lab, our assignment was to create an experiment to analyze the gait of one of our classmates. We had to come up with the different ways we would figure out the gait of a group member, the opportunities were endless. I worked with Zoe and Julia, together we tested amount of steps, length walked, height, length of legs, and weight. We were able to calculate most of this through our phones on an app that our teacher Mr. Tronconi told us to download. Anything we couldn't do through this app we used meter sticks, stop watches, and computers. Below you can find a file with our data that we found and graphs that represent it. The ultimate goal was to be able to put all of the group data together in one database, which you will also see a link to below.

Reflection:
At the beginning of the project I was very confused on what we were supposed to do, but it was very interesting when we got into it and I got an understanding of what was happening. I worked with Zoe and Julia and together we all were like employees at a job as no one person took control. What we found very useful was to compare other peoples data to ours to see how the numbers looked between our height and another persons. The app we used was called accelerometer and basically gave us a graph after we finished walking. We took all the numbers that were points in a graph and plugged them into our google sheets. This was a lot of information to look at first just because they are such tiny numbers with minuscule changes. Also with all the information we were provided we were a little confused about how it all was put together. We had to make sense of all these data points but once we did this we were able to figure out a ton. After we figured out our data we then compared with other class data to find there numbers and how they were different. In google sheets it provided us a nice graph that gave us a great visual representation. The hardest part of this project for me was definitely figuring out what all these minuscule numbers meant but after a little help from our teacher I was able to complete this awesome project.
