What we learned
-Human genetics/inheritance: I learned about how to use Punnette squares to determine the probability of the inheritance of genes. `
-Genetic Diseases: I learned about how different diseases like Huntington's Disease and Marfan's Disease are passed down and the effects they have on the body.
-Chromosomal abnormality: I learned about how to identify chromosomal abnormalities in karyotypes. Down Syndrome is when there are one too many chromosomes on the 21 chromosome
-DNA fingerprinting, sequencing, forensic science: I learned how to dust fingerprint like I described above, use chromotography, compare hair samples, and find blood types.

For this project we were presented with a "murder mystery" where a group of people went to a dinner picnic to celebrate a birthday for there friend who got out of prison. The friend that just got out of prison was captain cornball. Captain cornball was also celebrating his birthday until all of a sudden clouds darkened and he was murdered. We were presented with this case and had to figure out and solve the crime. We did this with a packet that dr lb provided us with to try and figure out this awful crime. I learned about human genetics, genetic diseases, chromosomal abnormalities, dna fingerprinting, sequencing, and forensic fingerprinting. 2 thumbs up because i really did like this project. I would say that next time maybe have a little more evidence to go deeper into the project but overall it was a really fun project i enjoyed.
